01 — The Ask
A welcome kit brief with two audiences to please.
MASH Music School in Kolkata came to Merchland with a one-week deadline and two different audiences to design for: a welcome kit for incoming students, and a separate run of notation notebooks for the teaching staff. No fest, no big campus event to lean on — just a school that wanted new students to feel like they'd joined something the moment they walked in.
The brief stayed simple on purpose: keep it practical, keep it fast, and don't let the staff order feel like an afterthought bundled into the student kit.

02 — The Kit
One kit, three pieces, one identity.
Fifty incoming students each received a 180 GSM biowash round-neck tee finished with Custom DTF Print, paired with a branded mug and a matching coaster — 50 of each. Three products, one kit, designed to feel like a set rather than three items pulled off a catalogue.
03 — The Notebooks
Staff got their own line item.
Teachers weren't folded into the student order. MASH placed a separate batch of 100 notation notebooks and diaries specifically for the teaching staff — pages built for writing out scores, not generic office stationery repurposed for a music school.

04 — The Turnaround
Two hundred and fifty pieces, seven days.
The full order — tees, mugs, coasters, notebooks and diaries, 250 pieces across five product types — went from brief to delivery inside a single week, dispatched to Kolkata in time for the term to start on schedule.
05 — The Habit
A welcome kit that became a standing order.
Founder Mandeep says the ordering process itself was the easy part — clear communication from brief to delivery, with no back-and-forth over specs. The kit landed well enough that students noticed, and MASH hasn't placed a one-off order since: every time a product line runs low, they come back to Merchland to restock rather than shop around.

07 — FAQ
Answers before you ask.
How many pieces were in MASH Music School's welcome kit order?
250 pieces in total: 50 T-shirts, 50 mugs and 50 coasters for the student welcome kit, plus 100 notation notebooks and diaries for the teaching staff — delivered in a single 7-day turnaround.
Can student and staff merchandise be ordered as separate batches?
Yes. MASH's staff notebooks were run as a distinct batch from the student welcome kit rather than bundled in, so each audience gets products built for them — notation notebooks for teachers, a wearable kit for students — on one combined timeline.
How fast can Merchland turn around a bulk welcome kit order?
MASH's 250-piece order across five product types went from brief to delivery in one week. Turnaround depends on product mix and customization, but a one-week window is achievable for orders of this size when specs are confirmed upfront.
Does Merchland support recurring or reorder-on-demand batches?
Yes. MASH hasn't placed a one-off order since their first welcome kit — they come back to reorder whenever a product line runs low, and Merchland keeps their specs on file so repeat batches don't need to be re-briefed from scratch.
