Challenges
Real frustrations from creators on first drops, D2C brands testing SKUs, and boutique event organisers running sub-200-unit runs.
Got killer designs but unsure if they'll sell?
Bulk-printing untested artwork sinks capital into stock that may never move.
Hesitant to invest in stock before validating demand?
Upfront bulk orders mean unsold inventory sits in storage for months while trends shift past your design.
Print quality drops on small orders?
Most printers won't fire up a screen press for under 200 units, so small runs get heat-press shortcuts that fade on the first wash.
Stuck with basic tees, no premium fabric on POD?
Most POD platforms lock you into 180 GSM round-neck cotton. Premium fabrics — French Terry, fleece, biowash — require bulk MOQs you can't justify.
Self-service POD platforms throw your file straight to the printer?
No file-prep review, no colour-mode check, no bleed correction. Resolution issues quietly become wash-faded prints in the customer's hand.
Vague turnaround makes drop dates unpredictable?
"We'll ship when we ship" doesn't survive a launch announcement video that's already scheduled to your audience.
Inconsistent print quality across reprints?
POD batches across multiple production days drift in colour density and print registration. The third reprint quietly stops matching the first.

Premium DTG and DTF prints fulfilled in 2–5 days across India. No MOQ. No inventory commitment. Per-piece pricing confirmed on every quote.

1Lead solution
One unit ships at the same per-piece logic as 100 units. Test 5 designs without committing to bulk. When a design sells out three drops in a row, that's when bulk pricing tiers earn their keep — until then, drop with zero downside.

Two printing methods coordinated through our vetted print partners. DTG for photo-quality detail on cotton — ideal for intricate artwork and full-colour designs at any volume. DTF for any-fabric versatility — works across cotton, polycotton, and blended fabrics with no fabric-MOQ constraint. Method matched to fabric and design at quote stage — we pick what the design needs, not what any one shop happens to run.

Heavyweight French Terry 220 GSM, cotton 3-thread fleece pullover hoodies, biowash cotton oversized tees — available on POD at no fabric-MOQ. Most POD platforms lock you into basic round-neck tees; we don't.

Standard print and dispatch timeline from order confirmation. Drop dates become predictable, not estimated. Same-day production is possible on confirmed in-stock SKUs ordered before our daily cut-off.
Customisation & Capabilities
Labels, fabrics, print methods, trims, shipping, quality control, and design support — the same library applies to every Merchland service. Pick the brand details and capabilities your order needs; we coordinate production at the economics of your chosen service tier.

1Capability
Custom neck labels, hang tags, woven labels, custom-printed mailer boxes, poly bags, and branded outer cartons. Your brand on every touch point from garment neck to parcel exterior — never ours, never a supplier's.

Cotton (organic, biowash, mercerised), polyester, polycotton blends, French Terry, fleece, performance fabrics, plus sustainable options — recycled polyester, biodegradable trims. Custom-developed grades sourced through our textile mill network. Material matched to design intent at quote stage.

Screen, DTG, DTF, sublimation, and embroidery — method matched to fabric, design complexity, and order economics. Multiple methods supported on a single build for layered effects on premium pieces.

Embroidered patches, embossed buttons, branded zipper pulls, custom-stitched details — plus branded thank-you cards, QR codes, and discount vouchers in every parcel. Tactile and printed brand details that carry beyond the garment.

Worldwide dispatch — India in 2–5 business days across all 28 states and 8 union territories, with multi-city split-dispatch for distributed teams and warehouses, and 7–14 business days internationally via DHL, FedEx, Aramex, and regional couriers — customs documentation, duty handling, and country-specific compliance coordinated end-to-end.

Every production batch is inspected before dispatch — fabric grade match, colour consistency, print registration, stitch quality, and trim placement. Defective pieces are caught at the production vendor, not at the customer's door. Random-sample QC on every order; full-pass QC on premium and bulk-tier runs.

Free artwork review on every order — our design team checks file resolution, colour mode (RGB vs CMYK), bleed allowances, and print-readiness before anything goes to print. Sized-and-aligned print files supplied at no extra cost. Paid concept-to-creation design available when you don't have final artwork.

Frequently asked
MOQ, fulfilment time, printing methods, platform integration — the answers creators and D2C founders ask before launching their first drop.
Print-on-demand (POD) is per-order custom manufacturing — your design is printed only after a customer places the order, with no inventory commitment, no MOQ, and 2–5 day dispatch through our vetted print partner network. Best suited for creators with 10K+ engaged followers, D2C brands testing SKUs before bulk commitment, and boutique events under 200 units.
You send us your design and list the product on your store. When a customer orders, that one piece is printed, packed in your branding and shipped straight to the customer — usually within 2–5 business days. Nothing is printed before an order comes in, so there is no stock to buy, store or write off.
You pay a per-piece price for each printed item, the same logic whether you order 1 or 100. The price depends on the garment (fabric and GSM, round-neck vs oversized), the print method (DTG or DTF) and the print size and placement. There is no setup fee or MOQ on POD — the exact per-piece price is written on every quote. Your margin is your selling price minus that per-piece price and shipping.
It can be, when you have an audience to sell to. POD removes the biggest loss in merch — unsold stock — so a design that doesn't sell costs you nothing to print. The trade-off is a higher per-piece price than bulk printing. The usual path: launch and test designs on POD, then move the proven sellers to a bulk or white-label run, where the per-piece cost drops and the margin grows.
They solve different problems. Print on demand makes your own design, one piece per order — best for creators and brands selling original merch without stock. Dropshipping ships products that are already made and stocked — best when you sell a fixed range at volume and want fast pick-pack-ship. Many brands start on POD to find their best sellers, then stock those for dropshipping. We run both, so a design can move from one to the other without changing supplier.
Five steps: pick a niche and an audience you can reach; prepare print-ready designs (high-resolution files, correct colours); order a sample and check print, fabric and fit; list the products on Shopify, WooCommerce or your social storefront; then send each order to us for printing and branded dispatch. Because POD has no MOQ, you don't buy stock upfront — you can test several designs and keep only what sells.
Print-on-demand has no MOQ — you can order a single unit. Per-piece pricing applies regardless of volume. For larger runs (100+ units of the same design), bulk pricing tiers offer significantly lower per-unit cost — at that point, see our Bulk Order service.
Standard POD orders dispatch in 2–5 business days from order confirmation. Metro deliveries take less time post-dispatch than Tier-2/3 cities. Specific dispatch ETAs confirmed at order stage.
We coordinate two no-MOQ printing methods across our vetted print partner network: DTG (direct-to-garment, photo-quality detail on cotton at small volumes) and DTF (direct-to-film, works on any fabric, good for mixed-design batches). Method selection depends on garment fabric, design complexity, and order volume — we match the method to the design, not the design to whichever method one shop happens to run. Screen printing, sublimation, and embroidery carry setup MOQs that contradict POD's per-order premise — those methods are available on Bulk Orders, White Label, and Custom Manufacturing.
Per-piece pricing applies on every POD order. Final per-unit cost depends on garment grade (180 / 200 / 220 GSM, cotton vs polycotton vs polyester), print method, and design complexity. All quotes include design support, branding (neck label, hang tag), and standard packaging — no hidden fees.
Yes. We support per-order fulfilment for Shopify, WooCommerce, and Insta-storefront workflows. Each order ships direct to the customer with your branded packaging and inserts — never ours. For full e-commerce fulfilment with stock pre-positioned and same-day pick-pack-ship, see our Dropshipping service.
Four things decide whether a POD supplier works for a drop: no MOQ (one unit per order, not a hidden minimum), dispatch time you can promise your buyers (2–5 business days here), print methods matched to fabric (DTG for cotton detail, DTF for mixed fabrics), and white-label packaging so the parcel carries your brand, not the supplier's. Order a sample first and judge the print, the fabric weight and the packaging on the actual piece.
Yes. Every POD order ships under your brand — your neck label, hang tag, inserts and packaging, with no Merchland branding on the parcel. When a design outgrows per-order printing, the same design moves to our White Label service for stocked runs at bulk pricing.
POD covers our standard apparel catalogue: round-neck and oversized tees, pullover and zipper hoodies, polos, sweatshirts, varsity jackets, and tote bags. Premium fabrics — French Terry 220 GSM, cotton 3-thread fleece, biowash cotton — available on POD. Custom-developed fabrics scale to bulk orders only. Specific product availability confirmed at quote stage.
