01 — The Vision
A Core team that wanted to look as sharp as the stage they built.
TEDxNERIST is the independently organised TEDx event hosted at NERIST — the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology in Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh. When the Core team came to Merchland, the brief wasn't about volume or speed. It was simpler and harder: give the people running the event something they'd be proud to wear on stage, backstage, and in every photo taken that day.
No filler merch. No stiff, boxy tees that scream "event giveaway." Just a polo the team would still reach for months later.

02 — The Fabric
Built from 220 GSM cotton, not the usual event-tee cardboard.
Merchland put the team in a 220 GSM cotton polo — heavy enough to hold its shape through a full day of walking the venue, soft enough that nobody was tugging at their collar by hour three. The design went on with a DTF print, chosen specifically so the TEDx branding stayed crisp and didn't crack, fade, or peel after repeated wear and wash.
It's the difference between a shirt that says "we got sponsored merch" and one that says "someone actually thought about this."
03 — The Fit
A collar and cut designed to read as uniform, not costume.
Polos are an easy product to get wrong for an event team — too formal and it looks corporate, too loose and it looks like a giveaway nobody sized properly. Merchland worked the fit so the Core team's polos sat clean across every body type on the team, collar structured enough to hold up in every camera angle, sleeve length that worked whether someone was carrying equipment or greeting a speaker at the door.
The result read as a uniform the team chose for themselves, not one handed to them.

04 — The Shoot
Merch good enough that the team built a photoshoot around it.
Here's the tell that the polos landed: the TEDxNERIST Core team didn't just wear them for the event and pack them away. They set up a dedicated photoshoot in the merch — styled shots of the team in their polos, shared as part of TEDxNERIST's own event content and, with their permission, added to Merchland's client gallery.
That's not something a team does for merch they tolerate. It's what happens when the product is good enough to be the outfit, not just the uniform.
05 — The Verdict
A TEDx team happy enough to become the reference for the next one.
TEDxNERIST is one of a growing list of TEDx events that have brought their Core team merch to Merchland — and it's easy to see why the pattern repeats. TEDx organising teams are small, visible, and photographed constantly; the merch has to hold up to all three. TEDxNERIST's polos did, and the team's own photoshoot became the proof.
For any TEDx or campus event team reading this: this is what "we'll sort your Core team kit" actually looks like when it's done properly.

The polos held up under every camera and every hour of the event — we ended up wanting a full shoot in them.

07 — FAQ
Questions other TEDx organisers ask.
What did TEDxNERIST order from Merchland?
Merchland produced custom polo T-shirts for the TEDxNERIST Core team — the organising team behind the independently run TEDx event at NERIST, Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh. The brief was focused entirely on quality and fit rather than quantity.
What fabric and print method did TEDxNERIST's Core Team polos use?
The polos were made from 220 GSM cotton with a DTF print finish — a fabric weight and print method chosen to hold shape and colour through a full day of event wear without cracking or fading.
Does Merchland work with other TEDx and college fest teams?
Yes. A number of TEDx organising teams and college fest committees bring their Core team and volunteer merch to Merchland, drawn by the same combination of fabric quality, print durability, and design support that shaped TEDxNERIST's order.
Can I get photoshoot-quality merch like TEDxNERIST did?
TEDxNERIST's Core team liked their polos enough to build a dedicated photoshoot around them. That's the standard Merchland designs to — merch built to look good under a camera, not just on an event day.
