College club, society, and department merchandise is the year-round small-batch apparel that keeps campus identity alive between fest weekends. Cultural societies, technical clubs, debate and dramatic societies, MUN societies, photography clubs, consulting and finance clubs, AI/ML groups, and academic departments all run their own merch programmes, with multiple drops per academic year. Unlike fest merch (one massive order, one weekend) or farewell merch (one batch, one event), club merch runs on a recurring cadence: kickoff drop in August, annual flagship drop, ad-hoc event drops, core-team kits.
What clubs and societies typically order
Society / Club Tee
The everyday membership tee. 180 GSM cotton sinker round-neck — the cost-effective workhorse. 180 GSM cotton sinker oversized for clubs whose audience leans Gen Z and contemporary. Society name on the front, batch year + role on the back.
Core Team Hoodie
The recognition piece — only members of the core team or executive board get this. 330 GSM cotton 3-thread fleece pullover hoodie with embroidered chest crest and individual name + role printed on the back. Smaller sub-runs justify premium fabric.
Department Day Tee
The whole-batch piece for CSE / Mech / Civil / EE / B-school batch days. 180 GSM cotton sinker at scale, department crest on the front, batch year on the back. Hostel-day variants follow the same template with hostel block name instead of department.
Special case: MUN societies
MUN societies are a distinct sub-pattern within the society category — different product mix, different role hierarchy, different procurement timeline. Most India MUN societies run two separate apparel orders per conference cycle:
Delegate apparel — formal polos, not casual tees. MUN dress code is business formals, so PC matty 220 GSM polos with embroidered chest crest replace the usual society tee. Per-committee colour blocks (UNHRC blue, UNGA green, SOCHUM red, DISEC navy) are common.
Secretariat / Executive Board kits — premium tier. The organising team carries distinct apparel — CP matty 220 GSM polos in a contrast colour with "SECRETARIAT" or "EB" on the back, sometimes paired with a premium pullover hoodie for late-night sessions.
Per-conference identity printing. DTF supports conference-specific overprint — "[Conference Name] 2026" on the back collar or sleeve. Most major MUN societies (IIMUN, HMUN India, Delhi MUN) refresh this annually.
Per-delegate dropship after the conference. MUN delegates fly in from other colleges, so end-of-conference fulfillment is dropship-heavy. Provide the delegate roster with addresses and we ship per-delegate post-conference.
Annual reorder cadence
The core difference between club merch and fest merch is the recurring cadence. Most clubs place several orders per academic year:
August (academic year kickoff): New-member welcome tees + refreshed core-team kit.
October–November: Annual flagship event merch — debate finals, photo exhibition, technical symposium, MUN conference.
February–March: Departmental day or hostel day drops; spring cultural drops.
Ad-hoc: Workshop kits, partner-event collaborations, milestone drops (10-year anniversary, etc).
Embroidery setup is paid once at the first order; subsequent reorders reuse the design files at no extra cost and run faster than a fresh design.
